Dr Pauleen Lane CBE
Dr Pauleen Lane is a civil engineer by profession, graduating from Manchester University in 1985. After obtaining her PhD, she worked in transportation, bridge and highway design, and construction. She holds an academic post in engineering at the University of Manchester.
Pauleen is an elected member of Trafford Metropolitan Borough Council and was Mayor of the Borough for 2005/2006. She is a Board Member of the Northwest Regional Development Agency and a member of the Milton Keynes Partnership Board. She was an Audit Commissioner until April 2006 and was awarded a CBE in the 2005 New Year’s Honours list for services to local government.
