English Partnerships is working with lead developer English Cities Fund (ECf), Plymouth City Council and the local community to transform Millbay into a vibrant waterfront district.

An Action Plan for the delivery of the Millbay Area Regeneration Strategy was commissioned and provides for the redevelopment of derelict land and buildings.  It includes proposals for:

  • new homes
  • shops and restaurants
  • business premises
  • improvements to public spaces

Community consultation

An ongoing programme of community consultation and engagement has helped ensure the needs and aspirations of local people will shape  future plans for Millbay.  The Millbay Advisory Forum assists this process.  It is a forum of community groups with an interest in Millbay and meets on a regular basis.  The meetings are held in public and anyone can attend to observe the meetings.
