Dr. John Belcher CBE
Dr. John Belcher grew up in Canada and has held a number of key positions charged with researching and improving social welfare in both Canada and the UK. He is currently Chief Executive of Anchor Trust, England’s largest not-for-profit provider of housing, care and support for older people.
John is a member of the Audit Commission – Housing and Communities Board, and a Non-Executive Director of both Lewisham Hospital NHS Trust and the Independent Safeguarding Authority.
He was awarded a CBE in the Queen’s 2006 Birthday Honours list for services to older people.
