Erith Western Gateway
Background
English Partnerships is working with Bexley Council and a number of other public bodies to promote a comprehensive approach to the regeneration of the Erith Western Gateway - a collection of sites within the heart of Erith town centre and adjacent to the river Thames. The Council is committed to achieving design excellence and, with the support of English Partnerships, aims to set new standards for redevelopment in the area.
Current Status
Bexley Council and English Partnerships are seeking to appoint a development partner for the Erith Western Gateway scheme. A sustainable riverside community providing a mix of housing, employment and retail/leisure uses that meets the highest environmental standards, including the latest energy saving technology, is planned for the 5.5ha site.
A developer will be appointed from those successfully shortlisted for the second stage of the tender process.
