Design for Manufacture Competition
The Design for Manufacture Competition aims to demonstrate that it is possible to build a high-quality home for a construction cost of £60,000. The figure of £60,000 is a target construction cost, not a development cost or a sale price.
English Partnerships ran the competition for Communities and Local Government and have now appointed the winning developers on the ten sites. The sites are provided by English Partnerships and other public bodies.
